It is true that all oncology patients experience many conflicting emotions. Therefore, in the treatment phase, actions are taken to achieve an acceptable level of quality of life in the context of conditions. Thus, the multimodality medical team takes responsibility to plan and implement the most effective treatment, but also to simplify the participation of the patient in this process.
Under these circumstances, the thoracic surgery support includes:
- subcutaneous placement of a permanent central catheter device (port a cath)
- installing permanent thoracic drainage tube (pleurX drainage system)
- patient education in respiratory physiotherapy (preoperatively and postoperatively)
